Hello and welcome to the first edition of DPD News Magazine™ for the month of November. I'd like to thank all our existing subscribers for sticking with DPD Marketing and I would also like to welcome our new subscribers. I hope you will benefit from joining us. DPD Marketing is all about Internet Marketing and dedicated to training, knowledge and helping anyone interested in building an online business.

Wow, October flew by so fast I didn't even get a new issue of DPD News out. And, it wasn't a very good month either. It's been getting unusually cold here in October and we already got our first snow fall. Better then 8 inches covered the ground, trees and cars. Way, Way too early for snow! There is something about the first snow though. It makes everything look so clean and bright. Every where you look is just like a post card. Now, after that first snow, you can have it! I just don't seem to like these days like I did in the past. I do like the changing seasons but I can do without the snow.

So, on to business. Gas prices seem to be inching there way back down. Nothing ground shaking but every little bit helps. Heating oil prices have come down a little but they are still way above last year and not keeping up with the lowering gas prices. Strange too since they both come from Crude Oil and Fuel oil for heating is derived from Crude before Gasoline!!

Have you been thinking about the elections and getting out and voting? I don't want to get political here as I am very opinionated and we don't want to get me started. I do want to stress the importance of getting out there and doing your part. This is probably one of the most important elections and we as Americans have the duty to decide who we feel can take our country back to where it once was and where it now need to be. Our government need to realize, once and for all, that they work for US. Not special interest groups, not for big oil companies, and not for the richest campaign contributors.

It's time to put the United States of America back where it belongs. Back to the highest standards it once was. Back to being the world leaders in our economic development, military, and education. The time for changing all the Grand OLD ways is now and time to get this country heading back to the road to recovery and prosperity. I don't care who you think is the right man for the job, not as much as the importance to at least get out there and choose!! So, America, now it's up to each and every one of us.

          GET OUT AND DO YOUR DUTY AS AN AMERICAN.........VOTE!!!

Has the state of the economy been effecting your online businesses very much? In some cases it did with mine but after a little restructuring, I was able to make some turn around. I found that with making some changes to your marketing strategies and rechecking your target market, you should still be able to pick up new customers all the time. And lets not forget about those existing customers. Look back at what made them your customer in the first place. What got their attention? Did you follow up with them? How about offering them an upsell. Something relating to what their initial purchase was. There is always another product of interest in every niche market. Most times many other products. Research your niche thoroughly. Don't let your competition steal your customers by offering them more of what they want or something more to quench their interests.

Speaking of your competition, I came across an article, " Know Your Home-based Business Competitors" written by Walt Deal. Internet Marketing is a highly competitive business these days and staying on top of your competition can keep you on the track to more subscribers and higher profits. Knowing what your competition is doing can also keep you informed of new information and products to offer your own customers. Make sure you look for this article in the Guest Article Page.

My own article this month, "Starting a Home Based Business". Yes, even with the state of the economy, it is still a good time to start a Home Based/Online Business. People still have hobbies and interests that want and are not willing to give up. Every one has some special interest and most people have hobbies. You can start an online business in almost any market imaginable. Think about your own interests and hobbies. Don't you think there are many others who share those same things. Now if you really wanted too, don't you think you could build an Online Business around those. I know you can. Check out this months article on Ed's Article Page.

I haven't had a chance to update all the classifieds I have. There are just so many. I think I may have to start setting limits on the number of FREE classifieds again. This will only reflect the free classifieds. I have always had a limit on paid classified ads. If you need a classified ad, I am full but will have spaces by the end of the first week of November. I will try to get you free classifieds added in the next day or so. Sorry about the delay but I am getting backed up. I will be restricting the number to 5 subscriber ads and 5 from each co-op. If for some reason there isn't 5 from any of those, I will increase the other. As long as we don't go over a total of 15 free classifieds per issue.
